Subscribing to a Cancer Prevention Report Feed PDF Print E-mail
Written by The Editor

Subscribing to one of our feeds is easy! You will need two things to subscribe; an RSS reader (also known as a news aggregator) and the website address (also known as the url or XML file) of the feed you wish to subscribe to.

Here are the simple steps you need to follow...

1) Select an RSS reader/News Aggregator. The RSS reader is a software program that collects the headlines and summaries from the feeds you select. It displays them for you in an organized manner.

You may choose from an RSS reader that you view on the internet or download one to your computer and work off your desktop.

If you have a Yahoo! email account, you may use My Yahoo! right on the internet. Just click here to go to the My Yahoo! page (add a feed by clicking on +Add Content at the very bottom of the page).

Newsgator is another popular RSS reader/News Aggregator. It runs in Microsoft Outlook so the headlines and summaries of the feeds you subscribe to will be delivered to your Outlook folder. Click here to learn more about Newsgator.

Newsplorer is a downloadable RSS reader that will deliver your feeds right to your desktop. Click here to learn more about Newsplorer.

2) Select the website address of the RSS feed that you wish to subscribe to. The RSS feed is an XML document that has the headlines and summaries.

Our article feed will deliver valuable articles straight to you as we update our content. Click here to go to our article feed (or use the url below to paste into your RSS reader...

3) Copy and paste the url of the RSS feed you wish to subscribe to into your RSS reader (this is usually accomplished by clicking on the "add feed" button in the reader).

4) Many readers will allow you to set the feed update interval. That means you control how often the software checks for new headlines and summaries and presents them to you.
