Antioxidant Rich Source

According to antioxidant researchers, eating antioxidant rich sources can make an impact on your health and put you at a lower risk for cancer.

The health benefit of eating fruits and vegetables has never been much of a secret. In fact, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has been suggesting for decades that individuals should consume 5-9 servings of fruits and vegetables every day.

So which fruits and vegetables can be considered highly antioxidant rich sources?

Well, according to the USDA, the following list of 10 foods are highly rich in antioxidants...

- Small red beans
- Blueberries
- Red kidney beans
- Pinto beans
- Cranberries
- Cooked artichoke hearts
- Blackberries
- Prunes
- Raspberries
- Strawberries

And what about apples? An apple a day keeps the doctor away, right? The USDA says red delicious and Granny Smith apples are also an antioxidant rich source that follow closely behind this top 10 list.

In addition, certain nuts are considered antioxidant rich sources. This is especially true of pecans, walnuts and hazelnuts. Cloves, oregano and cinnamon are also antioxidant rich sources.
